Schiavi's Task Dynamic division has developed numerical controls, office software, drives and PLCs in-house since 1984. Every Schiavi press brake and bending cell is run by software written by the people who designed the machine.
Athena numerical control
Athena is Schiavi's most advanced numerical control, the result of more than 30 years of Task Dynamic hardware and software experience. It works both as the machine control and as offline software, monitoring, analyzing and optimizing every stage of production in real time.

Bending System office software
Bending System manages and optimizes the bending process from the office: rapid generation of the bending sequence, tooling set-up and bending program, with an intuitive interface and broad CAD/CAM compatibility.
- 3D editor: import flat DXF, 3D DXF, IGES/STEP and CADMAC BND; part editing with measurement tools
- 3D simulation: automatic search for the best bending sequence, cycle-time estimate, collision detection between part, machine and tools, export of the flat DXF for cutting and punching
- Tool and machine editors, predefined tooling, multiple program/drawing/tool archives
- Production Viewer: job monitoring, filtering, reports and statistics per machine
- BS Config: machine management, software updates, back-up and restore, remote activation
- Compatible with Task CNCs and others, including Delem, Cybelec, Operateur, Kvara and Komatsu
A.R.S. – Anthropomorphic Robot Simulator
A.R.S. is the proprietary robotic-cell simulation and programming software that calculates optimal trajectories for loading, bending and unloading, so TK bending cells are programmed entirely offline.
- Manages 6-axis robots, 7-axis robots on gantry and 7-axis robots on track
- Customized work-cell configuration: press, robot, loading pallets, thickness gauge, zeroing table, grippers and gripper-change rack
- Collision detection, automatic program generation for the robot controller, editable movements and start/end positions
- Full integration with Bending System
Titano retrofit control
Titano is Schiavi's proven numerical control for upgrading older presses. Reliable and robust, it improves productivity and extends the working life of existing machines with an intuitive interface and modern features.
Drives and PLC – made in Italy
Designed, developed and manufactured by the Task division for seamless integration with Schiavi numerical controls.
- CRC3 – real-time control of all press brake axes, communicating directly with the numerical control; fully configurable and monitorable from a PC
- EMBLAX – motor and drive combined in a single compact device, with advanced diagnostics and an oscilloscope function
- MICROAX – compact closed-loop vector drive for stepper motors: no step loss, torque reserve for overloads, torque limiting on collision, control via CANbus
